Dustyn has always been the kid to put stuff in his mouth. Doctor said he would grow out of it, but at 4 1/2 years old he is still putting stuff in his mouth. He is also a very picky eater. He is particular about textures and smells. He will not eat plain bread but will eat grilled cheese as long as the bread is very grilled. He also gags at certain smells. We are working on getting him to try new foods. He has always been really sensitive to loud noises and freaks out if he is not wearing his head phones. Automatic toilets and hand dryers are very traumatic to him. Dustyn is always the kid bumping into things on purpose and overall needing that hard input.
He will be evaluated at school soon and I am anxious to hear if they think he needs therapy.

Sarah I am so glad to hear that Savannah is not alone when it comes to loud noises. She also is sensitive to loud noises like the automatic hand dryers, toliet flushing and water running in the tub. For the longest time she wouldn’t flush the toliet. Now she flushes and runs out. She puts her hands over her ears when I run her bath water and complains it is too loud. We couldn’t go anywhere, even church without her crying that it was too loud! She is better now. so believe me I do undertand about the head phones. I didnt think about the head phones we used ear plugs. I will keep you and your boys in my prayers. Thanks for sharing your life. Patti
Thanks Patti. Dustyn really likes the earphones we got at walmart that you see in the picture. A lot easier then ear plugs.
